EyeV Dry Eye Support — Last updated May 2026
EyeV Dry Eye Support is a digital platform designed to support the assessment, monitoring, management, and follow-up of dry eye disease and related ocular surface conditions.
EyeV Dry Eye Support is operated by EyeV Ltd. For privacy or data protection queries, please contact: dpo@eyev.co.uk.
Participating clinics, healthcare providers, commissioners, or organisations using the platform are generally responsible for determining how personal information is used for healthcare services and act as Data Controller. EyeV Ltd generally acts as Data Processor for healthcare and clinical information processed through the platform.
We may process names, date or year of birth, email address, mobile number, practice or clinic details, questionnaire responses, symptom scores, clinician findings, treatment plans, review information, communication preferences, audit logs, access records, and technical information.
Personal information may be used to provide access to the platform, support assessment and monitoring, help clinicians manage care, send secure sign-in links, invitations, reminders and notifications, maintain audit trails, monitor platform performance, and comply with legal, contractual, regulatory and clinical governance obligations.
Where the platform is used for healthcare services, processing is generally carried out under Article 6(1)(e) UK GDPR and Article 9(2)(h) UK GDPR. Clinician and practice user information may also be processed under Article 6(1)(b) and Article 6(1)(f).
The platform may generate symptom scores, progress charts, treatment support suggestions and workflow prompts. It does not make solely automated clinical decisions about diagnosis, treatment, eligibility for care, or clinical outcomes.
Information may be shared with participating clinicians and healthcare providers, organisations involved in care delivery, approved technical service providers, sub-processors, and regulatory or legal authorities where required by law.
We use technical and organisational measures including secure authentication, role-based access controls, encrypted transmission, audit logging, monitoring, and secure cloud infrastructure. Information is retained only for as long as necessary to deliver the service, support care, meet governance requirements, and comply with legal or regulatory duties.
Individuals may have rights to access, correct, restrict, object to, delete, or request a copy of personal information. Some rights may be limited where information must be retained for healthcare, legal, patient safety, safeguarding, or regulatory reasons.
If you have concerns about how your information has been handled, please contact dpo@eyev.health. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
